Bimota became known for lightweight tubular-steel and aluminium chassis structures, carefully controlled geometry and centralised mass. One of its most important innovations was the Tesi hub-centre steering system. Unlike a conventional motorcycle fork, the Tesi separates steering and suspension forces through a front swingarm and linkage arrangement. This reduces geometry changes under braking and allows engineers to control front-end behaviour with unusual precision.
Modern Bimota motorcycles continue this philosophy while drawing on Kawasaki powertrain technology. Models such as the Tesi H2 combine Bimota’s unconventional chassis engineering with Kawasaki’s supercharged engine platform, creating a motorcycle defined by immense performance, advanced electronics and visual complexity. The KB998 Rimini has also returned the marque to international competition through the Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team, which entered WorldSBK in 2025 and has continued developing the platform through the 2026 season.
